The 2018 Lake Orion Independence Day Fireworks show will be on Saturday, June 30th with a rain date scheduled for Sunday, July 1st. We are very excited to build on the improvements from last year in order to facilitate the Independence Day fireworks show for Lake Orion and the surrounding communities which was rated 14th in the County by Guff.com. This year we will have a “Dueling Fireworks” show again!
Fireworks Show Location
We will shoot from two platforms. One will be on the M-24 side of the lake and the other will be west of the Bellevue Bridge. Per the location map below.

“Earth, Wind and Fireworks” is an event we are working on for this year’s events. It would take place on Saturday, June 30th proceeding the fireworks at Pelton’s Point. There will be food, beer, wine and entertainment.
The annual Brunch at Lake Orion Boat Club will be on Sunday, June 24th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. This a delicious meal at a great price and a fun location. We will be offering a free shuttle service from the dock behind the Porritt Light House building across from McDonald’s on M-24. Call that day for pick up: 248.693.2900. Tickets are available at the door.
Instead of the Princess Cruise Boat this year, we are adding a raffle. On behalf of the LOFA Board and the Lake Orion community, we want to thank you for your continued support. Without your support there would be no show! As you know this show is paid for solely from donations by individuals and businesses as well as fundraisers put on by our Board and other volunteers! There are no paid volunteers!
